Come on People !!!
Sights such as this drives me nuts. It's unfortunately reflective of a society and the times we live in.

Quiet...
No Cars. No People. Silence. The early morning reminds me of those old science fiction movies.... The Last Man on Earth or some of the Twilight Zone episodes.
Can someone tell me?...
These cast iron plates were attached to a brick structure. I'm sure there's some sort of functional reason for them. Anyone with the answer, please let me know.

Are you really going to eat all that?...
I will admit that I should not talk considering I am about 15lbs overweight (altough I have lost 5lbs recently). The problem we all seem to have is the desire to over do it. A burrito is one of those yummy items but why do we get them in super sized portions? That old myth... a little is go so a lot is better syndrome.

STOP...
Why is it that it seems the only way to get things done or agreed upon is to having to resort to protests. The art of compromise must be a thing of the past.

As the days dwindle down...
There's a movie from the 80's called Atlantic City. There's a character there played by Burt Lancaster (for the youngsters... he was a good actor). This genteleman just seem to remind me of that character and I also realize that it's been almost 30 years since I watched that movie....

Where cheap filters go...
Buy a cheap lens filter and they end up in a box. Can you imagine how many images could have been better if the right type of protection (lens protection) was on?
On a sidewalk...
Signs that people were here. I know it's a city and not having "stuff" flying or lying around is unavoidable.... but it's a sad commentary at times to just see garbage around that signifies human existance. On another note... the childs white glove caught my eye if as though it was saying to me "stop".
Conversation...
Sometimes the best moments are when you just take a seat anywhere with a friend and have a conversation.

Sidewalk scene...
This time by the Cable Car turn around. Not one one sound of English being spoken. French and German were the ones I was able to pick up. Say what you will about San Francisco, it really is an international city.

What's this...
Everyday in the morning hours, a group of street vendors gather to draw numbers to see which spots on the sidewalk they can use. (X100, f/11, 1/1500s, ISO 4000)

A million stories in the naked city. A dozen of stories in this queue. (X100, f/11, 1/1400s, ISO 5000)

On a sidewalk...
Outside seating and people about has always made me wonder what each person is doing in the scene. (M9, f/8, 1/350s, ISO 800)

Working in a hole...
Many many years ago, I was asked in a job interview about working in a hole that could be infested with .... you can imagine. To this day, I give these men and women a lot of credit for doing a job in questionable conditions. (X100, f/11, 180s, ISO2500)

Future Street Photographer...
As I was walking around doing the "street" thing, I saw this family of four doing the normal tourist thing. One person who stood out was this young girl who had her camera out and was snapping away.
Not aimlessly... but everything that caught her eye she took what I call the Cartier Bresson pivot twist and shoot. Watching her, she was actually capturing some interesting scenes that were happening all around her.
Hopefully she too will find the love of photography.
